Child therapy
Vibrotherapy
Vibrations are the stimulus in vibrotherapy. From a physiological point of view, these are physical stimuli transferred to selected body tissues or to the entire body. The mechanical impulse sent by the device activates the muscles to work, which increases the flow of blood and lymph. Vibrations can affect the whole body or selected parts of it.
At Grawitacja Center, we work only on the Galileo platforms certified as a medical device in the world.
The uniqueness of Galileo VIBROTHERAPY
Galileo's principles are based on the natural movement of the human gait. Galileo's swinging movement, like a swing of varying amplitude and frequency, triggers a sequence of movements that resembles a human walk. Rapid movement of the training platform causes pelvic tilting - similar to walking, but much more frequently. The body responds with compensation: rhythmic muscle contractions, alternating left and right sides of the body. We use low frequencies below 10 Hz for balance and proprioception training, medium frequencies for relaxation, high frequencies to improve power, muscle strength and normalize muscle tone.
This therapy is also called mechano stimulation.
It is described in hundreds of scientific studies, and its proven operation:
- affects the improvement of mobility and strength in children with muscular dystrophies,
- normalizes muscle tension,
- is a great balance training,
- can effectively prevent bone resorption,
- improves posture control.

At the Center, we use Galileo vibrotherapy in rehabilitation:
- children with neuromuscular diseases (cerebral palsy (CP), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
- neurological (spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, Parkinson's disease).
- patients with reduced mobility in pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Oncology - reduced motor activity and pain reduction in chemotherapy (oncology).
